Changerawr v1.0.4: A Fresh Update for Your Changelogs
Hey everyone! I wanted to share some exciting news about Changerawr, the changelog management software I’ve been working on. It’s been a little quiet lately – things got busy, you know how it goes – but I’ve just released version 1.0.4, and it’s packed with some really useful features and improvements.
Let’s be honest, managing changelogs can be a bit of a pain. You want to keep track of what’s changed, make it easy for your team to see the updates, and ideally, share it in a way that’s actually useful. Changerawr aims to make that a *little* bit easier.
What’s New in Changerawr v1.0.4?
This release is focused on adding some fantastic new functionality, especially around importing data and enhancing the content editor. Let’s break it down:
Data Importing – Jumpstart Your Project
One of the things I’ve heard a lot about is the desire to quickly get a Changerawr project up and running. Now, you can import data from two main sources: Canny or a standard markdown file. This is a huge time-saver, especially if you’re starting a new project or migrating an existing one.
CUM – The Changerawr Universal Markdown Engine
Okay, this is a big one. I’ve introduced CUM – the Changerawr Universal Markdown engine. Basically, it’s a significantly upgraded content editor. It brings features like embeds, buttons, and alerts to the table, giving you a much richer experience for working with markdown. CUM is designed to improve the parsing engine, tokenization, and overall usability. It’s about making the content editing experience smoother and more powerful.
Improvements – A Polished Experience
I’ve also made some important improvements to the overall project dashboard and functionality:
- Redesigned Projects Dashboard: The dashboard is now cleaner and more professional, making it easier to navigate.
- Updated Projects Fetch Pagination: The default fetch for projects has been increased to 50 entries when listing.
- Redesigned Main Dashboard: The main dashboard has gotten a much-needed facelift – it was looking a little dated!
- Improved Modal UI: I’ve added some depth and optical borders to the modal UI, and included a ‘disableClose’ prop for when Changerawr needs to keep you informed about what it’s doing.
What is Changerawr?
In a nutshell, Changerawr is a tool for managing your changelogs. It lets you document updates and share them effectively. You write entries about the changes you make, and Changerawr provides ways to display them – like widgets for your website, public pages, or APIs for integration.
I’m aiming for a Changerawr release every one to two weeks. If there’s something you want, make a feature request and I might add it in!
